Technology

Our own reactors. Our own process platform.

The plant technology is our own development: PACT photobioreactors, run via our own fully automated process platform – open to other microalgae. Spirulina is just the beginning.

Technology landscape

One end-to-end system. From reactor to batch.

Reactors, control systems, networking and software are PUEVIT GmbH’s own technology – from a single source and fully integrated. Measurement data flows from the plant to the cloud; process codes and updates flow back to the plant.

  1. Patented processCore

Continuous cultivation instead of batch cycles.

    Your benefitConstant conditions, predictable harvests.

  2. PACT reactorOn site at the reactor

Closed photobioreactors, modular for plants of every size.

Your benefitClean, reproducible conditions instead of open ponds.

  3. Operator terminal directly at the reactorPACT.OS · on site

Runs the cultivation with one process code per microalga and continuously regulates the process data towards an optimal result – even without internet.

Your benefitOperation is secured via algae.cloud or the operator terminal – with or without internet access.

  4. Remote maintenancePACT.NET · connected

Encrypted connection between the plant and algae.cloud. No intervention in your company network and no access to it.

Your benefitRemote support with no risk to your IT.

  5. Control systemalgae.cloud · connected

All plants at a glance: trends, alerts to your phone in case of deviations, AI-based analysis – and the process codes for your microalga.

Your benefitIn case of deviations, the system intervenes and notifies you automatically. You load new process codes onto your plant with one click.

  6. TraceabilityALGENWERK.OS · connected

Batch, quality, traceability and delivery – right down to the QR code on the container.

Your benefitEvery batch documented and fully traceable.

Process codes like apps

You download new optimisations, or microalgae other than spirulina, as a process code from algae.cloud to your plant – just as you know it from your smartphone.

Always up to date

Every plant receives updates in a structured and secure way: signed, rolled out step by step, confirmed on site – and automatically rolled back in case of an error.

Your plant decides on site

You switch off data transfer and remote access at the reactor. What is switched off on site cannot be switched back on remotely by anyone.

Every site a copy

Same control system, same process codes, same quality: a new ALGENWERK adopts the Dresden process – instead of reinventing it.

PUEVIT GmbH is the technology owner of the PACT reactors and all associated technology. Quality management certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.

Process platform

Year-round to a reproducible specification.

Made possible by a certified QM system and fully automated processes.

  • Parameters relevant to growth and quality are continuously controlled.
  • Every batch is documented, from culture to filling.
  • The platform is open to other microalgae.
Plant engineering

Proud member of the Pürstinger Group.

Around 150 employees and more than 30 years of experience in plant engineering for the chemical and semiconductor industries – this know-how stands behind ALGENWERK.

This is where our high-purity standard comes from: closed systems instead of open ponds, controlled from culture to harvest.

Scale-up

Developed and scaled at the hub, replicated in further plants.

  1. Development

    Process at Hub Dresden

This is where we create the processes that further ALGENWERK plants adopt.

  2. Production

≈ 20 t of fresh spirulina per year

    In Dresden today, in operation.

  3. Replication

    Three further plants in planning

Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Lower Saxony. They will adopt the Dresden process.

Three ways to work with ALGENWERK

  • Ingredient: fresh spirulina with specification, cold chain and application support
  • Co-development: develop products together
  • Plant: PACT systems, processes and market access from a single source
