2. Summary

  • Cookies and audience measurement (Matomo, our own server) only if you consent. No third-party advertising or tracking services.
  • Fonts are delivered from our own server; no content from Google Fonts, YouTube, map services or social networks is embedded.
  • We process personal data when you access the pages (technically necessary server logs) and when you contact us via the contact form, by email or by phone.

3. Provision of the website (hosting)

The website is delivered via Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you access a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system. This serves the secure and reliable delivery of the website and the defence against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website).

Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

The images and texts of the website are maintained in our content management system (Statamic), which runs on PUEVIT GmbH’s own server in Dresden. This server is not accessed when you visit the website – except when you submit the contact form (section 4).

4. Contact form

If you write to us via the contact form, we process the information from the form: subject, name, company, email address, message and, optionally, phone number and field of application. We also store the page from which the enquiry was sent.

The enquiry is transmitted to our own server in Dresden and stored there. From there, it is forwarded by email to our mailbox. For sending, we use Cloudflare’s email service (Cloudflare, Inc., see section 3); our mailbox is operated by Google (Google Workspace, Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).

The purpose is to handle your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).

To protect against misuse, we briefly process your IP address when you submit the form (only as a checksum, for no more than 10 minutes, to limit repeated requests) as well as the origin of the request. No cookies are set and no third-party services (e.g. captcha) are integrated.

5. Enquiries by email or phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to handle the enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.

6. Cookies and audience measurement (Matomo)

If you select ‘Allow cookies’ in the notice window, we use the open-source software Matomo to measure how our website is used: pages viewed, time spent, origin (e.g. search engine or linking page, campaign parameters), downloads, clicks on external links and clicks on ‘Request samples’, ‘Contact’, phone and email links, questions asked in the Frag ALGENWERK box (without the question text) and the selected subject of a submitted contact form (without your details). For this purpose, your shortened IP address, browser, operating system, screen resolution, language and time are processed.

Matomo runs on a server of our group of companies in Dresden (Am Torfmoor) and is reachable via a tunnel of our hosting provider Cloudflare. The data is not passed on to third parties and is not used for advertising. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored.

For this, Matomo sets the following cookies in your browser: _pk_id (visitor ID, 13 months), _pk_ses (session, 30 minutes), _pk_ref (origin, 6 months). We store your decision itself in your browser’s local storage (entry ‘aw-messung’) so that the notice window does not appear on every visit.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, Matomo is not loaded and no cookies are set. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future: via the ‘Cookie settings’ link at the bottom of every page.

7. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are delivered from our own web service. No connection is made to Google Fonts or other font providers.

8. Links to other services

The website contains links to other services that are only accessed when you click on them: our answer system Frag ALGENWERK (frag.algenwerk.de), OpenStreetMap for directions and LinkedIn for sharing posts. Data is only transferred to the respective service when you click; its privacy notice then applies.

9. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). To do so, please contact the address given above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

10. Encryption

For security reasons, this website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by ‘https://’ in the address bar.
